Interior Health/UBC Southern Medical Program Regional Simulation Program

Overview

Patient Simulation provides healthcare professionals with the most realistic and rewarding experience for learning in a safe environment.  The goal is for participants to leave the simulation educational experience feeling more prepared and confident to optimally care for patients using best practices.  Simulation training also increases confidence in staff and physicians to meet the health-care needs of our patients.

The Interior Health Regional Simulation Program demonstrates inter-professional collaboration in providing simulation learning activities for the UBC Faculty of Medicine undergraduate and postgraduate learners, IH employees, physicians, students and first responders.  Our clinical team offers expertise in simulation debriefing and facilitation tools and resources and has access to a variety of simulation technology for clinical education.
