The Vancouver General Hospital Simulation Centre (VGH SIM) is located in the Leon Blackmore Pavilion to support a wide range of simulation education for healthcare professionals and staff. The state-of-the-art centre provides a realistic, safe environment where learners can study, practice, and develop skill sets to advance patient care.

The VGH SIM team is dedicated to providing a learning environment where learners feel safe to be challenged, try new techniques and skills, make mistakes while not causing harm, and expand their learning through feedback, evaluation, and reflection. Our desire is to play an active role in helping to identify and implement improvements in today’s healthcare. We hope to achieve this by supporting strong, effective skills training, strengthening our culture of patient and staff safety, and assisting clinical experts to identify best practice and workflow efficiencies, and supporting upcoming medical technology and equipment through simulation and research.
